PS3 offers Blu-ray support AND gaming side. 360 now offers only gaming side.
If you're average consumer looking for some home entertainment system you would pick PS3.

Unless I remember wrong. The delay of GTA IV was (according to PS3 players) 360's fault. 360 DVD was too small so Rockstar had to gimp the game. Some funny stuff.

There is not enough HD equipments in homes yet to make blu-ray stand out as a clear winner. Also it is going to take several years before HD will become a main standard in TV/movie industry. Those years will bring other HD media competitors to market and blu-ray, as good as it is now, may just die in the end as a weakest of HD formats available.
